SIL 680 Medley ata133/raid card and HP Photosmart 7150 print

Anyone heard of hacks to get these working. Silicon Image refused to do drivers for such a low end storage card and HP claims grandiously about how they are working with MS but won't release any beta drivers to the public (funny, Photosmart 7800, 8000 etc are listed in device manager when doing a update on drivers. So I don't get the big deal for HP to release for the other 7xxx printers, it'd just involve some inf changes and such.

I'm in the same boat. I have a Photosmart 7350 and it appears that they have just completely stoped working on drivers for it. They didn't even put out XP x64 drivers for it. Very frustrating.

I got the 7350 to work and here is the solution. You must have access to the installed driver on another system either from P2P or access to the drive of the XP system in a duel boot setup. Install the Hp software on the Vista system and when it says to connect the printer let it try, but cancel when it cannot find it. This will set up the correct USB/DOT4 devices, but will uninstall the driver. Then go to add printer and click have disk. Locate the driver on the P2P or XP drive and the printer will appear in the list. Install it... Good luck
